My name is Aisha and I moved from Small Heath Ten years ago to Yardley I thought it was a bit scary as we were one of the few Asian families in the area. We soon settled into the area. I remember the building work being done on the new Swan centre and the building of the Tesco. Before this work started I found the area very dull and the park also seemed dull and unattractive. With a very narrow road running along the Yew Tree it made the area feel closed in. I feel that with the development of the new centre it has opened up the area and made the area more welcoming and I enjoy visiting the centre with my family and friends.
